The Role
The internship was a tremendous learning experience, and the responsibility entailed with the project given, increases the enjoyment of the placement
The BP atmosphere is very inclusive, and the collegues appreciated and valued the work being done, and hence were very willing to help and advise where necessary
The responsibility entailed in the project is ample, but when unsure on aspects of the project, help was in abundance and supervisors were willing to help. Regular check-ins are scheduled to ensure that you are on track
There was no day where I didnt know what I should be doing. The regular check-ins are good to ensure that you are tackling the problem in the right manner, and also to give you something to think about in the next weeks work.
Responsibility was ample within the project that I undertook. Other collegues came to me for advice during the placement which gave me a greater sense of achievement. The responsibility makes the project more challenging, but rewarding.
I have learnt more over the 11 weeks in BP than I have in other placements. Every aspect of my competancies have improved over the period and the the 11 week project will help with the management and documentation of my final year project
The Company
The office environment was very positive. Everyone was friendly and willing to help.
I was very impressed by the organisation of the internship. The structure was great, from the allocation of project to what was mentioned on my application form, to the structure of the actual project. It was very good
A lot of time is spent to ensure that technical knowledge is amply built, and a lot of thought has gone into how to efficiently execute the project at hand in time. The support given in ample.

Company Parties/Events
The internship has made the prospect of a job a very attractive proposition
The Culture
Interns lived together in Î÷¹ÏÊÓƵ accomodation in aberdeen. This ensured that everyone had something to do in the evening and weekends were never spent doing nothing. Socially it was great
The cost of socialising was not a problem during the internship. 70p drinks on nights out in aberdeen can not be turned down!
Nightlife was a good laugh. all the interns went out together, and ventured far and wide in aberdeen. work events were also great. Socialising was very easy and great fun during the placement.
I played sport for a local club which was easy to get to, even without a car. Within BP, there are running and touch rugby clubs which appear good fun. There is a lot of scope to do what you want, when you want within the time in aberdeen
