Overview
Micro-space planning- creating planograms for Aldi's stores to implement. Store and competitor visits. Analysing and actioning reports to clean up buying and supply master dats.

Responsibilities
I was given loads of responsibility- I was made a lead in merchandising on a Free From, ISB and new shelving project. My whole year was full of tuns of responsibility and I was treated like a regular staff member.
Support & Guidance
I was given lots of support and guidance from management during my placement, they assisted me when I needed it but also pushed me to challenge myself with greater responsibility and workload when I needed it.
Culture
Great- everyone always looked out for each other and despite being in a big team everyone was still very connected. The culture in Aldi feels like you are all working for a common goal and you are proud to be a part of the company. I have made great friendships in the company that will remain long after my placement.
Your Impressions
I really enjoyed my placement, to the extent that I am sad to leave and head back to University. I will be looking for a permanent role in the same company when I finish University.
Yes
Put yourself out there and take every opportunity that comes your way, Aldi are a company that values hard workers and will always push you to your limits. They are a company that will push you further and develop you greatly as a worker but also as a person. My advice would be to give it your all, don't get caught up on mistakes, ask questions and enjoy it.
