Overview
During my industrial placement at BAE Systems, I had the opportunity to work in a highly skilled 50-person software team contributing to the development of complex and scalable software systems. I was exposed to how real software teams operate and was very grateful for the entire experience. The work environment is lovely and the people are amazing.
Skills
I was able to work with a variety of new tools such as well as develop existing skills such as Python, C++ and concepts such as DevOps, containerisation..etc
Responsibilities
I was given quite a fair amount of responsibility where by the end of my placement I had reached a position where I was able to give back knowledge to the team.
Support & Guidance
I had received a lot of support from my team and never felt that I was solving a problem alone.
Culture
Very good!
