Overview
During the first week, we received training on Investment Banking and Global Markets while networking with professionals. From the second week, we joined our respective teams and gained first-hand insight into their day-to-day operations. Alongside this, we worked on a team-specific project, which we presented at the end of the programme. This allowed us to apply what we learned while deepening our understanding of the division鈥檚 real-world challenges and workflows
Skills
I gained valuable technical insight into how the bank is structured and developed basic knowledge in Investment Banking. Additionally, working on a team project helped me improve my analytical thinking and communication skills, particularly when presenting our final pitch. The experience also strengthened my ability to collaborate effectively in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
Business Insight
Understanding the business and potential roles was eye-opening. It gave me a clearer picture of how the different divisions鈥攍ike Investment Banking and Global Markets鈥攊nterconnect and support clients. Through workshops, networking sessions, and shadowing team members, I discovered the variety of career paths available and what each role truly involves day-to-day. It helped me identify where my strengths and interests align, and what steps I鈥檇 need to take to pursue those roles.
Culture
The company culture was inclusive, collaborative, and supportive. Everyone, from analysts to senior professionals, was approachable and genuinely invested in our learning. There was a strong emphasis on curiosity, continuous development, and teamwork.
Your Impressions
I thoroughly enjoyed the insight, it was both intellectually stimulating and personally rewarding. The combination of hands-on learning, exposure to real work environments, and the chance to connect with professionals across the firm made it an incredibly valuable experience.
