About You
I enjoyed the insight very much. It is very fast-paced and intense. You do desk rotations everyday and talk to so many people on the trading floor. They are not only willing to give more insight about their job but also take their time to explain financial concept to you as well.
I feel very much valued during my time at G S. They gave you group work and individual work to work on at the same, keeping you very busy. but I think G S choose to really invest in people as it is a 2 week internship full on
At first, I felt a little lost since I didn't really know what to expect until the third day in. Then when you are split further into smaller groups, we have mentors come chatting to us and give us advice on how to use the most of your time at the firm.
I don't have a degree in finance or anything related so in terms of technical knowledge: not very much. But I definitely have seen myself grow as a person: gain more confidence, maintain network, think analytically and be more comfortable with putting myself out of my comfort zone.. . . . .
The Company
The programme is structured in a way so that you have fixed rotations, talks, meetings you have to go to. But then you are also encouraged to add more stuffs, catchups etc to your calendar so I would say they also maintain a degree of flexibility. . .. . .
Everyone is very friendly within our intern class. People are so smart, self-driven and amazing, everyone in their own way. The people on the trading floor are very willing to help you out with projects as well. If you reach out, there is always someone who is willing to and can help.
I think this is still a very early stage for me to give a definite answer to this question. But in terms of personal training and development, the company or firm invests in me very much? Like I am just here interning for 2 weeks but they really treat you like you defintely gonna be here working in the future!!!
I would say it gives you an overview of how everything (almost) within the div work. You can try to piece information together and discover so many interesting things about working here. But then again, I think if you get the chance to do Summer Int, you can actually know what it is like within a specific desk particularly more.
I think this is still a very early stage for me to give a definite answer to this question. But at my stage, what I can say is they really ensure that diversity and meritocracy are big factors,.

What do you mean by comment?
They are okay I guess? There are drinks and snacks to keep you going. Some of the event is firmwide so you can meet seniors from other div as well some are div specific so you can really dive in and know what particular project are they working on. Love them

I doubt it haha. Too much work
I think it depends on what friend. If it is someone who is ambitious, adaptable and very hard working, then definitely. If you can handle the pressure, the many deadlines and schedules you have to stick to as well as going extra miles to thrive, then go for it! !
