About You
I really enjoyed the insight programme. It gave me a great overview of CIMD and the different divisions within it. There were loads of events to network, ask questions and meet with a variety of different individuals from the firm to engage in the world of an Investment Bank. Two weeks went flying by!
I was surprised how diverse the programme and the division was. I felt that GS is a place where we can all get involved and included and are able to give a different opinions on projects. We had the opportunity to make the most out of the programme by speaking to our teams and being assigned work that could help with certain projects.
A lot of support and guidance. We are able to always speak to people regarding feedback including HCM. Also you have the ability to speak to your buddy and other analysts who have gone through the same experiences as you to confide in. We also had captains that we could ask feedback and support from.
I believe that the skills that I have developed and information I have recieved will be invaluable in the future. However, it is not relevant to my degree as such. I believe that the insight week provided us with the opportunity to see if CIMD is a division that would be tailored to our abilities.
The Company
Well Structured, but some days felt very overwhelming due to tight scheduling. This meant that some nights we had to stay late in order to finish our desk projects as well as group projects and be able to attend all HCM events that were compulsory. There was a clear structure however overall.
Very Fun, we all got along really well and there were numerous opportunities for us all to come together as a group. As there were only 15 of us, this gave us an opportunity to network with each other and get to know everyone really well. Group projects were also in small groups which was nice.
Very good. Really formal
Loads of panel sessions and a variety of events that helped to do this.
We were always reiterated the Goldman Sachs principles from seniors to juniors.
Good

Plenty.
Quiz night, loads of networking events and plenty of opportunities to meet up with people at network.
Not really. Would have been nice to see more, but only got told about the gym.
