About You
It was truly such an amazing experience. The culture at Barclays is amazing and it showed through all the sessions and interactions we had.
I felt like they really valued my presence and wanted me to be there. They invested so much into us to make us feel like a part of the company.
HR was extremely supportive and ready to answer any questions and direct us to the right people we needed to speak to. We had briefs before every session and got multiple tips on how to make the most of this programme.
I have received a better insight into some aspects of my study as I had the opportunity to see theories and concepts I have learnt come to life which gave me a better grasp of what I have been learning. I have gained so much information and advice related to the industry from senior executives, employees of all levels including graduates. I had the opportunity to improve my networking skills through networking events, public speaking and team-working skills.
The Company
It was very well structured. They managed to have a good balance between sessions and breaks. There was an excellent usage of time.
It was very warm and welcoming all the way through to the end.
We received a lot of comprehensive insight sessions into the divisions we were looking into, work shadowing opportunities, networking opportunities, they organised a teamwork and leadership training session and gave us multiple opportunities to practice our public speaking and presentation skills.
Through work shadowing sessions, division insight sessions and panel discussions with graduates and senior management, I got a good idea of what it would be like to work at Barclays.
They put a great emphasis on showing their culture through how the employees work and interact and in how they manage their business.
Every session had so much detail. I have learnt so much invaluable information.
Everything Else
Food was provided, Accommodation was provided (if necessary) Travel was reimbursed We were paid at the end of the week
We met many employees from different departments of interest to us including current graduate scheme interns, full time employees and senior executives.
They was really great! Asking a lot of questions helped reveal a lot about my roles of interest as well as the company. Everyone was willing to engage and give out as much information as possible to give a better insight into the company, their roles and the general culture.
