About You
I enjoyed the information intensive nature of the internship. Being exposed to so much information forces you to learn fast and now coming towards the end of my internship I am able to see my growth - in terms of financial literacy - and it is very satisfying.
The tasks and projects set by my team felt relevant and therefore, I felt like I had added value to my team and thus, I felt valued.
The strong emphasis on networking and catch ups with members of your team promotes the opportunity to form mentor relationships and support networks across the firm.
Its supported with me reigniting my interest in the financial side of my degree and has definitely encouraged me to learn in more detail the technical sides of management.
The Company
The spring week achieved the perfect balance between structure and mobility. I was able to attend all sessions and I knew what I was doing days in advance. If it changed, there were online updates on Outlook, which was extremely helpful.
Welcoming and friendly atmosphere. Everybody was easy to approach and willing to take time out of their day to provide support.
Technical skills and soft skills definitely improved due to the exposure of real life working environments. time management and meeting deadlines was also something I observed that I found interesting.
Various talk sessions and and seminars gave us a widespread understanding of the roles at the firm and time on the desk allowed us to see what our colleges were actually doing on a day to day basis.
The culture mentioned to by various employees at different points along the internship. All of them came to the same consensus which shows how strong the culture is.
Extremely valuable.

Accommodation was also provided.
Yes.
There were quite a few networking events but mostly contained within your preferred division. Although I am already set on the area I would like to head towards, I think it would be interesting still to network with individuals across the firm.
Briefly touched upon affinity networks.
Yes
