    About You

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
  • The most realistic experience you could get of working in this environment on a Spring Insight. Very well organised, with a mix of skills sessions, workshops, information and individual work. Really enjoyable with a great group of interns who made the experience even more enjoyable. Hard work but the whole experience on balance was great fun. I would recommend this programme to everyone.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?
  • Very valued. I was given a task by my desk for the duration of the project that was going to contribute to their work in the future. Having work that actually made a difference made it feel so much more valuable. Every member of staff was willing to take time to hear our views and questions which made us feel really valued.

  • 3. How much guidance/support did you receive during the insight?
  • Plenty of support. Had a buddy to ask all immediate questions to, from general things about the job to help with our projects and assessments. Skills sessions provided important information and the HCM were always available for any burning questions about the programme. A feeling that this support network will be available for years to come.

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Loads of skills gained during the internship. Time management and prioritization were key skills that were developed as we juggled desk work, assessments and other sessions with varying deadlines. Also developed presentation skills for our assessments and had dedicated workshops to help with this. Communication also developed through daily networking with full time employees. All skills will be incredibly useful back and university and for our future career.

    The Company

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?
  • Very well structured. Given a rough outline of the programme on the first day and then had extra sessions added to our outlook calendar. The insight had a full schedule for most of the days and it calmed down slightly towards the end as we were allowed more time to work on our assessments.

    5/5

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your insight?
  • Great atmosphere, small group of 15 meant that we all bonded very quickly. Having the same two HCM people look after us for the duration allowed for a friendly and humorous atmosphere as we got more comfortable with each other. All full time staff had plenty of time for us and made us feel more than welcome, offering up their time to impart their knowledge.

    5/5
