The Role
Highly enjoyable process but not a major fan of the rotational set-up.
Vast majority of people are willing to take time out of their calendars and spend time with you.
Constant feedback and updates on how I was doing was given throughout the internship. Proved highly useful however the transparency of the feedback is something that could be worked on (i.e. hearing different thoughts from different counterparties created confusion at some points of the programme).
Highly busy. Constantly kept on my toes.
A fair bit - the majority of my projects/assignments didn't have any direct impact on teams' day-to-day operations.
As a Mechanical Engineering undergraduate, I feel that the skills I've gained won't have a direct impact on my degree however they will assist me greatly going forward as financial services is the industry I am aiming to get into post-graduation.
The Company
Highly positive overall.
Very well-organised.
Flexi Time
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
Financial Bonus
The Culture
Built good, solid relationships with a wide range of interns throughout the programme.
Lived with family so no major expenses fell on my head.
Hardly went out in the area I worked in so answering this question would be unfair.
