The Role
I feel like I got I good insight to the firm and met a lot of nice and interesting people. Ten weeks was also a good amount of time to get to know the firm and make a decision if it was something for you or not.
The people that I worked with were very nice from the moment I hit the desk. I felt welcomed by everyone and over the ten weeks, I felt like everyone listened to me including managers and people outside of my team.
I got a lot of support from my "buddy" who I worked with a lot during the summer. She was always helpful and guided me through my projects. My manager was also very helpful in guiding and supporting me. The questions that I had to HR were few but they were always answered.
I think I could have been a bit more busy. At some points I was a bit bored. I think I got this feeling because my expectations and prejudices were that I would work an enormous amount. I feel like I could have gotten more work if I asked for it so I do not blame anyone else for making the internship a bit boring at some points.
I was not involved that much in the day to day tasks as I did not have access to the different data programs. However, in the projects that I did, I had the main responsibility of making sure that the projects were finished and implemented.
I got a lot more organized during the internship and I think that I became a bit more of an adult over the ten weeks. Furthermore, I think that I received valuable skills in teamwork, analytical thinking and presentation. All these things are vital parts for doing well university-wise and career-wise.
The Company
The atmosphere was very good an transparent. There were a lot of people working on the same floor which made it a bit tight in terms of space. Everyone was very friendly and it was easy to schedule catch-ups with people from different teams to get a coffee or discuss topics of interest.
Very well organised. The only thing I would say is that the first week which is a training week could have been a bit more specific to the upcoming work. Otherwise, there was a clear structure with weekly catch-ups to give feedback and discuss questions that interns had.
A lot of employees put a lot of time and effort to meet with me to discuss the projects that I had and how to improve them further. Moreover, I got a lot of time to work on my projects to make sure that they turned out good.

I believe that I have good chances of getting a job. I think that is appealing but I have not yet fully decided if I would take an offer or not.
The Culture
The other interns were very nice and we spent a lot of time together outside work during e.g. weekends. Other interns that did not work in my division were also open minded and friendly. The atmosphere between the interns were great and I would not say that there were any rivalry between us.
London is very expensive so I tried not to go to restaurants during lunches etc. It was difficult to not spend a lot of money.
London is not a great place in terms of nightlife I would say. It is quite expensive and the big nightclubs require you to pay a lot if you want to get in. I much more preferred to hang with the other interns in someones apartment or at a smaller bar/pub.
We interns organised a lot of activities ourselves. It was also easy to join networks within the firm to do different activities and such.
