The Role
The work I had to carry out was sometimes a bit dull and monotonous. I didn't really feel challenged at time and so felt under stimulated. The experience overall was quite useful and the people made it more enjoyable.
I feel my colleagues realised my limits as well as uses and so did value my contributions.
My line manager and people manager both always had time to talk to me regarding any issue I needed guidance with.
I often found myself looking for jobs to do with extended time periods doing nothing which did lead to a lot of boredom.
I was given quite a lot of responsibility, more than expected. My work was important to parts of the project succeeding.
The skills I developed and learned will be vital in further work and also with presentations and essays at University.
The Company
Extremely welcoming and friendly both in the Client Office and the PwC office.
Very well organised from start to finish. PwC couldn't have done more in this sense.
The company invested a lot of time in developing me as a person and not just using my time to make the firm money.
Sports and Social Club
National Travel
Very appealing. A good salary and invaluable experience which is well regarded on a CV. The job also has a lot of variety which is very attractive.
The Culture
Yes and with the office staff too. We were always invited to social events and usually attended. They were always fun!
The cost was certainly more expensive than at University but cheaper than some cities such as London.
The bars and clubs in the area were really good and there is a great variety, although not as much as there are in larger cities such as London.
Socially there was always opportunity to get involved. There was some sport offered but not a great deal within consulting. I'm sure this is available firm wide but I haven't come across this yet.
