The Role
I enjoyed the internship, the work was interesting and varied and I was able to choose jobs I was interested in.
Very much, I was given a lot of responsibility on some jobs but felt I was always able to ask any questions I had.
I felt able to ask any questions I had to anyone in the team. I had a 'buddy' to help me settle in and throughout the 6 weeks, as well as a people manager who helped me set targets and reviewed my feedback.
Depended on the day, if I wasn't given anything to do I was always able to ask someone in the team to get some work or even just do some shadowing.
I was given a lot of responsibility on some jobs, but was able to ask for any help I needed on more independent tasks.
I'm not sure if any technical skills I developed would be used in my degree, but these skills as well as communication and workplace skills I developed will definitely assist me after I graduate and move into the world of work.
The Company
Very relaxed, 'dress-for-your-day' policy meaning lots of people are in jeans and t-shirts. Very friendly also.
Well organised, but could be better set up for Cyber Security internship as some of the induction was more tailored to core assurance interns.
We each had a 'people manager' who helped us set objectives and collect feedback from each person we worked with.

You have the opportunity of receiving a job offer at the end of the internship.
The Culture
Yes we got together after work some nights and also spent time together most lunchtimes.
It's not as expensive as London!
It was good.
Yes, we participated in a Dragons den style competition between all the UK interns, as well as lots of office and team events.
