The Role
Everyone I met made a real effort to help me enjoy my time at PwC. There is a lot of work to do but there are always people around to help. PwC make an effort to include you in social events and there are other interns around which means there are always people you can chat to.
Being included in team meetings and events makes you feel like part of a team.
Some jobs are incredibly busy and time pressured meaning there is not always much time for them to explain to you what you are doing. On quieter jobs they take their time to fully explain and you are given more support. You have a buddy and a manager who are always there to answer questions or issues you have so you are never left on your own.
There is always more work you can do so there was very little down time.
I felt that sometimes I was given responsibility way beyond what I had expected. Some of the work set was very difficult and being the one responsible for it is intense.
My degree subject was not relevant to the internship however it has definitely encouraged me to work harder in my final year.
The Company
The atmosphere in the office was friendly and professional. Often however you are not in the office but working on a client site .
I think the internship was run quite well, the training was really well organised. There were no planned intern events so we organised them ourselves.
The training was great! You really felt like they valued you and were preparing you well!
Sports and Social Club
Company Parties/Events
The company atmosphere was good and I would happily come back and work here. It is personal preference whether the work is what you want to do.
The Culture
The interns made our own efforts to meet up and socialise. There was a really nice group and although we rarely saw each other during the day we regularly met up in the evening.
Bristol is a great city for socialising!
There was not a lot of free time during the week but at the weekend there was plenty of time to do other things.
