The Role
It was a great opportunity to learn and get to grips to what life would be like working in Assurance and PwC.
I was trusted and left to work on parts of the clients audit and felt valued for the work I carried out
Can't say enough about how much help and quality guidance I got from my people's manager and the senior associates I worked with.
As it was summer the work I carried out differed on a client basis. Sometimes it was hectic and sometimes not much.
I was given a highly level of responsibility as I was treated like a proper employee and member of my team
Not studying a relevant degree, the internship has given me a great insight and given me great technical skills in regards to accounting methods and excel.
The Company
The office itself is great, however I was at client site most of the internship.
It was really well organised with training in windsor and clients set beforehand and lucky enough to go to More London from Edinburgh to have a day in the office.
They definitely invested a lot of time and money in us with training in Windsor and trips to London.
Fortunate enough to be offered a graduate place in assurance.
The Culture
Really lucky to be in a good group of interns, though it does differ depending on office
Edinburgh is a relatively costly city with rent quite expensive especially due to the Fringe.
There are plenty of bars and places to socialise near the office with an amazing wetherspoons close by.
N/A for myself though other interns were able to volunteer in projects.
