The Role
I felt as though I had really made a valued contribution. My efforts were appreciated by my colleagues, and they strived to make me feel like one of the team. The work I did was recognised appropriately. My interactions however were mostly with senior associates, and associates. I had very little interaction with managers and above.
The coaching I received was excellent, and I felt very supported in my learning. However, due to employee time constraints I was left without official coaching on occasion. When my coaches were absent, they did their upmost to provide me with work, and available colleagues were more than willing to help me.
My daily schedule varied significantly. As deadlines got closer, I ended up working more intensely and for slightly extended hours, I think this is the nature of the job at any level within the company. I was able to use flexible hours which helped to maintain a steadier work/life balance.
I was initially given little responsibility, though as time constraint became more of an issue, I was given much more. Some responsibilities I had were far above my level of experience, I was told by associates that I was completing more 'serious' work than they usually would. On my final day (meant for admin.) I was still being asked to do additional tasks, which I had not been allocated time for.
The Company
The office was often quite quiet due to colleagues working away at client sites, however, everyone was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The office itself is very open-plan, and in a great area for grabbing lunch. There's an amazing outdoor space on the top floor to eat and catch up with colleagues.
The residential induction at the beginning of the internship was a great indication of how much the company invests in your training. We had a very thorough introduction to accounting principles, alongside a variety of social activities, including a dinner with directors and partners. The coaching throughout was also to an incredibly high standard, with online support through e-learns readily available.

Working from home
I think this is down to personal preference, though from my experience I would definitely find the employment prospects of the organisation very appealing. The amount of effort that is put into the internship sets a very promising standard for a future career there. There appears to be a lot of potential for growth within the company.
The Culture
Aside from the organised socials, I rarely saw any of my colleagues. Employees work quite varied schedules, so it's unlikely that you'll see people everyday unless they're part of your team. Given that colleagues are incredibly friendly and of a similar age, you will likely end up organising drinks and dinners together anyway.
There are a lot of activities outside of the office that you can get involved in. There's a netball league, alongside other sports such as badminton and cricket. There are also committees that you can be a part of, such as charity and diversity. I was part of charity committee during my internship, and was able to help raise funds for the company's chosen charity.
