The Role
Great fun. Lots of different tasks to do from a variety of people in the team. I really enjoyed the shadowing days as they let you see a completely different aspect to working at PwC.
Everyone was really friendly and welcoming from day one. I have been positively surprised by how nice and helpful people are at PwC. During my time here I've really felt like a member of the instead of just an intern.
My buddy and people manager have been extremely helpful during my time here. They have always been willing to take time out of their busy schedules to answer any questions I've had. They have both treated me as a friend which has made this experience very comfortable for me.
I had a few days which no one had anything for me to do which is understandable as it's not that busy this time of year. However most of the time I had lots of different tasks to do from a variety of people.
I have been extremely impressed with how people have helped me take responsibility during my time here. I've been responsible for getting work off of people, for requesting feedback off of people and for organising socials. All of these have really helped with my confidence.
It will really helped me with being organised and responsible for my learning at university. More importantly, these skills will come in useful when I join back as a graduate after university!
The Company
The atmosphere in the Leeds office is always great. You can really tell that everyone in the team are good friends and enjoy each others company. Even when people seem stressed they are always cracking jokes and making others smile. There is an obvious abundance of trust between members of the team which creates a very laid back and friendly environment in the workplace.
I think the setup was very good at helping build you as a professional. The way it is organised forces you to take responsibility for your actions and work which I find much more helpful than having a set plan of what you're going to be doing on every day.
Firstly, PwC paid for us to go on a 3 day induction with free drinks and food provided. This clearly shows that they're interested in investing their time and money to make sure we have the best time during our internship. Whilst being in the office i have been given lots of training opportunities to better me as a professional.

Working from home
Today I have been told that I have an offer for a job with PwC after my third year of uni! The prospect of working here in the future is very very exciting and I can't wait to get started. I believe it's the best place to give me a head start in my career.
The Culture
We have been out for a few lunches during my time here and there have been a couple of organised socials. These were all really fun and showed how friendly people here are. On top of that people have been very social in going out for drinks after work on a Friday as friends instead of colleagues.
I lived at home whilst working here and the transport link into Leeds really isn't that expensive. There are plenty of places that are cheap near the office to socialise.
The Nightlife in Leeds is one of the best. A large variety of places to go and things to do.
We went to the pub a few times after work. I am aware of socials in the future that are outside of working hours but they didn't fall into the time period that I'm at the firm for.
