The Role
I very much enjoyed the working atmosphere at PwC. There was enough work to keep me busy at all times (so that I wasn't bored, nor overwhelmed). There was a 3 day induction in a hotel with all the other interns in the country which was a great networking event and icebreaker and set the internship off to a great start.
All of my colleagues were extremely friendly, taking me for many lunches and drinks. Everybody was always happy to talk and patient to answer questions. The working environment was relaxed and enjoyable.
There were training sessions for an hour a day for the first week of my internship to get me up to speed. I was assigned a buddy to guide me throughout the entire internship, but everybody was happy to answer questions at any time.
There were never days where I was overloaded, neither were there days where there was nothing to do. Even on busy days my seniors insisted I left on time which I appreciated.
The system in worked the same for me as it did for everyone else in the company. The work I did was checked by my manager, and then checked again before being signed off by someone more senior. In that sense I had as much senior as one of the graduates in the company which is more than I expected.
I developed more spread-sheeting skills which will definitely come in use in my last year at uni.
The Company
Atmosphere and people were great, be it team meals or team drinks on regular occasions.
It was clear that I had been planned and catered for. It was easy to join the team, especially as the buddy system was well organised. The laptop I was given for the duration of the internship was a bonus!
I was given daily training sessions for the first week. I was given a lot of constructive feedback to help my development.
National Travel

Working from home
PwC gave all the right impressions.
The Culture
I went for lunch with fellow interns or my team every day. There were organised socials in and out of work hours (drinks, badminton etc)
Reading seemed quite expensive.
Great.
