The Role
I had the best time on my PwC internship - I was given plenty of real work to do and was made to feel valued throughout. I would highly recommend the internship to potential applicants, as not only do you get a real insight into PwC, but you also meet a wide range of extremely talented people.
All the staff were incredibly keen to help wherever they could, and trusted me with important work to do. I was never made to feel silly for asking questions, and learnt a huge amount from them all. Everyone was always really interested in what I was up to and what I wanted to get out of the internship.
You are assigned a Buddy and a People Manager when you join, and both of these were incredibly helpful and supportive throughout the internship, and made settling in very easy. They help to set your objectives, and answer any questions you might have throughout. They keep in touch with you throughout the whole internship as a useful point of contact for support.
On the whole I was kept appropriately busy, with a wide variety of work to do in different teams. I had a couple of days where I was a little quiet, but the resourcing team did an excellent job of finding more work for me to keep me busy and give me as much exposure as possible.
I think I was given the appropriate amount of responsibility for a summer intern. I was given real live work to do which would be sent out to clients, and this was fantastic exposure and experience. Also as you get to know the team better, they are all really good at slowly giving you more responsibility as they learn your ability.
The skills won't necessarily help with my degree, as I don't do a finance degree, but they will most definitely aid me in my future career. I have learnt a huge amount about the division I was in and about PwC as a firm, which I will definitely take forward with me.
The Company
I found the people at PwC to be incredibly friendly, supportive and kind. The teams all have real, genuine relationships, and this is so evident, and I think really leads to a productive working environment. It is the atmosphere at PwC that I loved the most, as I couldn't have asked to have been surrounded by more genuine, intelligent people.
In general, the internship was well organised, but I did feel at times as though there was very little communication between recruitment, resourcing and staff, as they all seemed to think different things about what was going on. I would have liked to have received more information from 西瓜视频 recruitment with regard to the process of receiving a graduate job offer.
We had an induction scheme in Windsor for the first 3 days, which was an excellent way to meet other interns and to be given some preliminary training for starting the internship. I also feel as though they invested in me by generally giving me work to do, to help me learn throughout.

I am very hopeful to come back next year and start as a graduate, as I think PwC is a fantastic firm to work for, and would be the perfect place to embark on my career. They are supportive, and give you so many opportunities to succeed, and I have heard nothing but positive stories about the grad scheme here.
The Culture
Unfortunately there weren't many other interns in my division and hence we didn't really do anything together in the evenings. It was nice however to meet most days and have lunch together, and we also organised a catch up at the end of the internship, which was nice to see how everyone had found it. The social scene at the induction however was brilliant and I loved getting to know people there.
Obviously London is very expensive, and I definitely had to take a bit of a hit as an intern in order to come here for the summer. It is difficult to find accomodation for such a short period of time and so it is very expensive, as is socialising in terms of restaurant and drinks prices.
London is fantastic for a night out, and I definitely had some great nights out at the weekends. There are also a few bars near the offices which are really nice to go to with the team after work, which I enjoyed a few times. It is an expensive night out however!
Outside of work I went for drinks with the team, and also went on a team away day which involved physical activities and a BBQ. There is also plenty going on in London that I'm sure people can get involved with, but I was just a bit tired for that.
