The Role
Provided with a variety of work to take part in on a variety of clients from different sectors. Also had the opportunity to work in different business functions within PwC and hold informative interviews for other business functions which was all interesting to take part in,
Colleagues were always happy to help and aid if a task proved to be difficult. Never felt that I couldn't go and speak to anyone in the firm in my business function and beyond.
In-charges throughout the firm always made sure I understood the task at hand and where ready to answer any questions or queries I had.
Always had an appropriate level of work and maintained a good work/life balance throughout the internship.
A lot of the work that was undertaken in core audit was often the easier less important evidence gathering activities but this could be put down to the lack of technical skills interns have over experience employees
Gained a significant number of practical skills that I will be able to carry forward both on internal PwC systems and other software products. Although the assistance it will provide my degree itself may be limited.
The Company
Ideal office environment a very laid back but hard working team who where all great to work with.
Resourcing always made sure work was setup for interns to complete and the orientation at the start set up what was a very well organised internship.
The company provided a good amount of classroom training and you could tell a significant investment had been made into each individual.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Company Parties/Events
Working from home
This question will be dependant on me securing a graduate offer but future employment prospects in my office do look very appealing.
The Culture
All the interns where a great group of people some of whom I lived with and became good friends with.
Being a northern regional office the cost of living was a good level and I can see myself working here in the future.
Leeds provided an amazing nightlife where the interns and employees often went out and enjoyed good nights out.
Activities outside of work often occurred and there was many activities happening to get involved with.
