About You
Best programme ever. I felt so honoured and lucky to have participated to it. I met amazing people who inspired me. I've learnt so much over the past 2 weeks. I realised not only I wanted to do IBD, but I want to do my whole career in this firm.
The best HR ever. They were 3 of them who were really there to answer all our questions and concerns. They knew everyone of us personally. They always had tips for improvement. The people who talked to us really wanted to help us better understand their jobs and career path.
So much! I got advice by lots of people in the firm. They really helped me to keep on fighting. It's those people who one day, I hope, will keep on making me go "the extra mile". The HR gave me invaluable advice (don't put too much pressure on yourself, enjoy the present moment...) that I will definitively use in my every day life.
It made me more confident. I learnt technical skills during the valuation class. I learnt how to better speak in public (I'm so bad at this). I learnt how to network. I learnt how to dress in banking. I can't wait to start working, or going back to school, to see in practice the progress I've made thanks to the spring programme.
The Company
Extremely well structured. Free times where we could meet people, case studies, accountancy and valuation classes, group activities (icebreaker), HR who told us what were the next activities, so many speakers who talked about different topics (their career path, their work life balance, their day-to-day job...). 2 week-programme. So you really have the time to become better, and learn lots of stuff.
Good atmosphere in general. But I only put an 8 because I felt that some 西瓜视频s still seemed quite competitive. At the same time, I met the most extraordinary 西瓜视频s there as well (a lot of diversity, different experiences, some 西瓜视频s had done volunteering, spoke different languages, had lived in other countries for studies or else...)
A LOT. Lots of trainings, advice provided by investment bankers, by HR, a lot of speakers who made me learn new things. You really feel that the firm is investing in you. And they are lots of training programmes later on. You have the mobility associate programme for instance that can help you broaden your perspectives
I understand the CULTURE of the firm, the different jobs, I met lots of people I would like to work for (and resemble one day) but at the end of the day the best way to understand a full time role is to do an internship to me! :) I saw the places where I hope I can work one day.
Best way to understand it. You spend 2 weeks in the company. You can really feel that the culture is real. The values of GS for instance. People keep repeating them all the time when they speak, like bits of the values. It's really impression how much they are REAL to them
Most valuable ever! I want to do my whole career at GS. They believed in me before anyone else. I want to give that back to then and be useful for their firm. I know now I want to try Leveraged Finance, something I would have never considered before. I'm still hesitating between Consumer Retail and Industrials !
Everything Else
Of course! Plenty of Free times. We had the gs.com email address. Access to the Dictionary
Yes plenty of them. Great way to meet new people. I really like meeting my peers as well Very nice moment I will always remember
Of course! We had a session. They did talk about it quite often. It really makes you want to join! You realise it's not just "all about work". Employees are friends and do things together
Definitely, I would force them to apply Best thing I've ever done in my life
