About You
The insight was one of the most interesting weeks of my life and I enjoyed every moment.
Everyone was so kin
From Vendor Training, to help from analysts, I received a lot of guidance during the insight and we were also left to our own devices to see what we could do by ourselves.
The skills acquired on this insight week, will stand me in good stead for the rest of career.
The Company
The insight week was very well structured with many talks and presentations to fill the time.
The week was very intense but friendly with all the employees giving constructive feedback, encouragement and guidance.
There was a vendor training as well as case studies which allowed me to go from literally zero knowledge to a much better view of how valuations and transactions work.
Nothing prepares you fully for the late nights of investment banking, but I was certainly given a flavor of the intensity and the positive atmosphere of apprenticeship of all the workers at GS
From speaking to many employees and hearing from other speakers, I discovered that the culture of Goldman Sachs is friendly, welcoming and fosters a culture of apprenticeship.
I am more sure than ever that I will want to pursue a career in the financial services, and I hope I will be able to do this at Goldman Sachs and in the Investment Banking Division.
Everything Else
Goldman Sachs was great at providing me with accommodation and paying me.
Yes, many and this was invaluable to my discovery of the firm's culture.
Yes, they were mostly sport.
I would only recommend this to a friend also interested in Finance.
