    About You

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
  • The 2018 Spring Internship program at Goldman Sachs is by far the highlight of my year. The 2-week program was amazingly structured to make every session very fulfilling and insightful.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?
  • During the duration of the program I felt like a full time employee. Everybody in my team treated me as though I was a very important contributor to what they do. The flat organization structure made it easy to interact with very senior people and learn from them, which I don't find in many organizations. I felt that I belonged.

  • 3. How much guidance/support did you receive during the insight?
  • The amount of opportunities to learn within that short time was enormous. The people are nice and would never say no to the coffee. My team gave me the opportunity to learn how they actually work just to get an idea of how they fit within the firm. The open-door policy allowed me to seek for help as and when necessary.

    The Company

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?
  • The program had an outline which was handed over to us on the first day. It basically spells out the times of the daily sessions and so at every point in time you know where to go and what to do.

    4/5

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your insight?
  • The atmosphere was fast paced and deadline driven. Since the span of the internship was short, the atmosphere had the spirit of urgency because we had a lot to do in that short period of time.

    4/5

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • The entire program was a big training day. Resources were committed in every step of the way to ensure that interns have adequate insight into what Goldman Sachs does, its culture and the skills needed to succeed in the financial industry. The firm devoted an entire team from Human Resource Management professionals to provide requisite training and development and support throughout the internship. Senior people also took some time off their busy schedules to provide insights into how the firm works.

    3/5

  • 8. To what extent did the insight help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?
  • The program was designed to give interns a gist of how working as a full-time employee at Goldman Sachs looks like. Therefore, in that regard it was very helpful. Apart from different talks by senior employees, you get to be placed in a team that does real work and so it gives you a glimpse of how a typical day in the life of a full-time employee at Goldman Sachs looks like.

    3/5
