About You
The insight was an opportunity to learn more about the bank as well as the division. It was very well organised and allowed me to network and meet lots of people who helped me throughout the two weeks. I was working but ended up having lots of fun during this internship.
I felt my time was valued every single day, whether in group projects where my opinion was considered, whether in networking evens when I met new people. People cared about my interests, my thoughts on a certain issue and tried to teach me in every single opportunity we had. I felt extremely valued
The HCM team was undoubtedly the support of this internship. They were always there to give us advice whenever we needed, answer our doubts and listen to our concerns. Without them, this internship would definitely not have been the same. They were extremely dedicated and guided us throughout the whole two weeks.
Certainly managed to develop skills like organisation and time-management which are useful in all walks of life. Plus, it taught me how to be more opened and reach out to people.
The Company
Very well structured. The first week was mainly presentations in order for us to get to know the bank and the different divisions and products. Then on the second week we had more free time to work on projects and meet new people. I believe it was a great structure because during the presentations we were able to gain insights which were then useful to mention in our networking meetings.
Before entering the programme I thought it would be an extremely competitive atmosphere. As I got there, I realised I was completely mistaken. Everyone was friendly and not only the interns. Even the people working at the bank took their time just to talk to us and help us whenever we needed.
The insight was great in the sense that it helped me understand whether I would like to pursue a career in this area or not. By talking to people, understanding and watching what they do, I got an idea of whether my skills suited this role and whether I would enjoy doing it.
Everything Else
24/7 The insight was mainly based on networking. Every single free moment we had we would use it go and talk to people on the trading floor. We were encouraged to do it and I guess it helped us become more confident in ourselves and our value to the bank.
