The Role
I genuinely enjoyed the internship. I was given interesting and challenging tasks to complete and was well integrated into the team.
I felt valued by colleagues as they took their time to explain concepts to me and were open to me asking questions. They helped me develop skills.
I had a strong support network at GS. I was assigned an HR mentor, a mentor from my business unit as well as a buddy from my team.
There were times that I was very busy and other times that I was not busy at all.
I was given much responsibility as I was able to work on live deals. My input was important and much valued.
The skills I have developed during the internship will be of great use for my degree studies. During the internship I had to work towards strict deadlines and deliver high quality work. I have become more efficient as a result, which will certainly be of use for my studies and for my future career.
The Company
The internship was were well organised and structures. There were a number of networking events, speaker sessions and training sessions. All of which was a great addition to the desk work.
The firm invested heavily in our personal training and development as they provided us with a strong mentorship program and other useful resources.

Company Parties/Events
Future employment prospects at the firm are very appealing to me. I enjoyed the work I did at the firm and the firm provides great career development.
The Culture
The cost of living around the City of London is quite high yet the social life was dull there.
Although there were a few bars in the area that I worked in, most of them closed after midnight.
