The Role
I enjoyed being able to participate in various tasks and work on multiple projects with diverse teams.
I feel that GS is a firm where you feel valued, people appreciate your input and your hard work and see you as part of the team.
I received a lot of support, advice and feedback through buddies, mentors, HR representatives, managers etc. which was extremely helpful in navigating the internship.
The workload varied as much of it is client driven. I was busy a significant majority of the time with a small amount of down time.
Depended on the projects. But in general, I was given a lot more responsibility than I would have expected.
I learnt a great amount in a relatively short period and improved my skills, notably in terms of communication, organization, and networking and also technical knowledge. I have also become more confident and have learnt to trust my judgement more, to be more proactive and to take initiative. These are all skills that are helpful in studies, life and in any future career,
The Company
The atmosphere was different depending on teams but in general, people were very friendly and took the time out to teach, explain, answer your questions, give advice and chat with you. But is still a high pressure environment and some moments may seem tense or stressful.
Very well organised.
A large amount. Individuals themselves invested time in teaching and answering questions as well as networking. HR invested time in organising training sessions and skill sessions amongst others

Company seems to want to hire as many people from the summer internship people as they can so high chances of converting to a full time offer if you perform well. Seems to be a good number of headcount.
The Culture
Yes, between fellow interns as well as amongst colleagues.
Good.
Not much nightlife as a business district.
Long hours and weekend work so not that much time to engage in that many activities. Saturdays are off and so you can make plans.
