The Role
As a placement 西瓜视频 you are given the same responsibilities as a graduate and this gives you the freedom to run your desk fairly independently near the end of your placement. I loved my team and they are all very supportive and don't treat you like an intern at all.
I felt very valued. I was not seen as a burden or someone who chips in where needed, I was a full member of the team and had as much responsibility as most of my colleagues. We would do team activities and they would always be there for support when needed.
The training when you start is very intense, however it helps you get up to speed alot quicker. My manager has always been there for support where needed and I am never afraid to ask the team for help.
Very busy! Apart from the week of Christmas you are always very busy, however the tasks are very varied.
I was given the same amount of responsibility as a graduate employee and was given the freedom to manage my own tasks. I also often covered my colleagues work when they were away
Working in recruitment helps you develop many skills that are relevant for the future, both towards my degree and my future employability. This is due to the nature of the work being so varied.
The Company
Ultimately it is a sales environment and therefore there is a constant buzz in the office. There are sales days throughout the month which lives up the atmosphere even more, however sometimes it can be tough sitting at your desk all day when your work isn't going to plan.
There are a very large number of placement 西瓜视频s and so the year was set out very well. There was a clear training plan from day 1 and once a month all the placement 西瓜视频s meet with a director to discuss how we've done.
There is a very extensive training plan to get you up to speed, however it is very generic and wasn't tailored to each individual.

I have been offered a role for after I finish university and I know a few other placement 西瓜视频s have too. If you put in the work Hays are very open to you returning after the year.
The Culture
London is very expensive, however I knew that from the outset. If you hit your targets there are opportunities to go out with the team, expenses paid which is good fun. This is a very sociable environment and people often go out at least once a week.
The nightlife is good, however it is expensive.
There were not many opportunities, however towards the end of my placement I have become a member of a sports team. We had team nights out occasionally.
