The Role
I quite enjoyed my time at my placement. I would definitely recommend everyone to pursue one.
My team was very supportive of my work and didn't make me feel like an intern at all. Not even a little bit.
My Manager was extremely supportive of my goals and assisted me in on getting my skills fine tuned for a corporate environment
I was really busy at times once I got over the initial period learning the systems and getting used to the firm.
I was working on projects that had far more significance and importance that usually interns would get to work on.
I will definitely use the skills I developed here both in university and on my own personal projects along with my future career paths.
The Company
Pretty Chill, I was told a lot not to wear my tie, but I ended up wearing one anyways.
At the starting due to intern restrictions we were not allowed to get WFH access. But the rest of the placement was really well organised. Received tonnes of training both regulatory, safety and technical ones.
We had multiple technical training sessions every week. Along with the frequent Tech Talks internally and the GS University program I feel I got more education and training here than sometimes at my own university.
