The program was undoubtedly eye-opening. I was treated as an employee of the firm for two weeks. This gave me liberty to explore the trading floor and talk to all its members freely, I was a true learning opportunity. The effort put into the program by both the HR team and all of the people working for the firm was was key to its successful delivery. I have personally gained a lot from the program in terms of confidence and knowledge. Furthermore, I learned a lot about the firm麓s culture and the kind of people that work for it.

I was really surprised by the amount of time and attention that was devoted to us by every member of the firm, from analysts to partners, during and outside of desk rotation times. I have met a lot of interesting people that gave me a lot of insight and valuable advices, and that were interested in what I was saying even if I was the most junior person on the floor.

Each time we approached people on the trading floor, they were very open and ready to help. It is amazing how willing people were to teach me and correct me. The HR team made a huge effort to guide us through the program and we were given lots of feedback, which I found very useful and that encouraged me to participate more in group activities and show what I have learned over the past two weeks.

I gained a big understanding of the financial market dynamics that will allow me to continue learning in my free time with more research. Furthermore, during the rotations, market wraps and PMD sessions I was exposed to a complete new environment where I had to give my opinion to experts which definitely strenghtned my confidence. This will help me in understanding the news, and relating them to financial markets. Furthermore, that gave me a concrete application of the theory I learned in school.

The atmosphere was dynamic challenging, and extremely stimulating. Regarding the rest of the interns I felt like I was part of a team. The people that I met from the firm were extremely open and helpful as well as the HR.

After the spring insight I am sure now that I want to work within the securities division at Goldman Sachs.

The program was only two weeks long, but through the people I met I believe I got a genuine understanding of the GS culture; the 14 business principles of John Whitehead were definitely present on the floor.

Yes I would definitely recommend this insight to everyone! It is an incredible opportunity to network, be intellectually stimulated and challenged and learn a lot of new things.
