About You
I really enjoyed the insight programme at BP. We took part in games related to the energy industry which gave us an insight into how complex and vital decision making is in the industry whilst working alongside team members. We also had senior managers at the company give talks which was really useful.
BP made me feel very welcome throughout the whole day. They were very happy to answer all of our questions and I felt the company had a great team spirit and welcoming attitude.
Many employees and managers provided their perspectives on the company. its future and advice on applications which was extremely beneficial.
The insight was not particularly related to my degree however it has helped me realise the applications of my modules at the company and has helped me think about my future module choices.
The Company
The insight was very well structured with a full day consisting of interactive activities, talks, tours and application tips.
I felt the atmosphere during my time was brilliant, everyone was very welcoming and I was able to see the wide range of work interns, graduates and other employees carry out on a day to day basis. I would definitely recommend others to apply.
Throughout the whole day the company provided advice on applying to BP. It is clear that people on the graduate programme develop quickly at BP and there are many opportunities.
Very much so, interns and graduates gave presentations on what they are doing at the company, what the work involves and the rotations. I was also made aware of the possibility of doing a PhD part time whilst at the company.
During the presentations there was a strong emphasis on the BP values which underpin the company culture. It was also clear to see how well recent graduates fit in with the company and teams.
The content was extremely helpful as I was able to see the actual work that interns and graduates are involved with at the company and has helped me to narrow down my future career choices.
Everything Else
BP covered my expenses and provided lunch and snacks.
Senior managers gave talks at the start of the day and we were able to network with recent graduates and managers during lunch.
We were made aware of sports and social activities at the company.
We were made aware of sports and social activities at the company.
