About You
An amazing experience. I met fantastic people and it was rewarding because investment banking industry is quiet secret.
It was great to have the possibility of talking with GS's employees. Even if they have a lot of work to do, they were always ready to share their experience. I felt valued.
The spring was very well organized and HCM has succeeded in creating a great atmosphere even if if we cannot print the timetable. It has encouraged to plan our calendar.
I study Business and Law, so I knew only the basic things about Risk and Finance Division. During this spring insight, I learnt a lot about division I did not even know before so I developed my knowledge and my analytical skills. I only developed my communication skills working on the group project and during networking session.
The Company
Well organized, first week is learning from each division and the second week is showing to GS what we have learned.
Fantastic ! Every spring intern was so kind and helpful. I met outstanding people from diverse background and it was rewarding working with people with another manner of seing the world.
GS invests a lot in us. As a foreigner, GS helped me to go to London and to have accommodation. During the spring insight, many GS's employees are ready to answer our questions and to guide us. I was very surprised to see that GS invests at that point in spring interns.
A lot, when you see the GS's website you can list some values but you do not know if they are applied in the real world. The first day, "teamwork", "flat structure", "diversity" were just word. Now I can say this is more than words, this is a way of working every day and I noticed than when I talked to GS's employees, they was talking about teamwork, diversity and responsibility without realizing it.
It has made me want to work for GS and I am now quite convinced than Finance Division is a division I am interested in.
Everything Else
There were a lot of opportunities to network thanks to the buddy system and thanks to networking sessions.
Many employees get involved in programmes like The Disability Interest Forum or 10 000 small businesses.
