About You
Throughout my two weeks at Goldman Sachs, I have thoroughly enjoyed my time here on the insight programme. I have found it to be an invaluable experience as I have been able to thoroughly look through the roles and aspects of different departments within the division i interned in.
During my time at the firm, I felt very much part of the team. I was given many tasks and jobs to perform whilst I was here so I was always occupied and felt like my opinions were valued.
The guidance/support received was incredible. From buddies in our own division to HCM and MD's, we were able to brankch out and ask whatever questioins we thought of. I found this extremely helpful.
I definitely learnt a lot in terms of what the firm does and was able to enhance some skills from my degree.
The Company
Very well structured. We knew where we needed to be throughout the week.
The general atmosphere was very friendly and welcoming, as if everyone was excited that us spring interns were here.
In terms of personal training, the firm helped by assigning us with buddies which we could communicate with at any point and ask questions or worries.
The insight definitely opened my eyes up to the variety of roles within the division which I would not have been able to find by googling.
Throughout the insight week, we were constantly reminded of the company culture and the importance of it. We were also informed that the culture at Goldman Sachs is very much different in comparison to cultures at other banks within the same industry.
The content throughout the day was hugely beneficial as we able to have work shadowing sessions where we could have a more intimate view of what each of department does. This has definitely allowed me to narrow down by future career goals in where I would be interested would in working.
Everything Else
Yes I was.
There were many opportunities available for us interns to network. At variable points there were compulsory networking sessions put in to our schedules which were hugely beneficial as we were able to network with people working within the specific division we were looking to hopefully work in. Also, there were other optional networking events that were put on for us to attend, which also allowed for extensive networking sessions.
They were amazing. I made a lot of contacts
Yes, we were emailed about them throughout the course of the week.
Yes definitely.
