About You
The Spring Program exceeded all my expectations : a good mix of networking, learning and actually gaining insight into how the firm's culture works. We were given many challenges which were enjoyable to solve as part of a team, allowing for strong friendship bonds to develop throughout the program.
Goldman invested a lot of time from senior speakers into the program, which was very unexpected but also extremely interesting. Employees at all levels were very approachable and I was able to learn a lot from their experiences.
HCM did a very good job of answering all our questions and navigating us through the different parts of the program.
Apart from learning from the GS people, we received a lot of classroom teaching which allowed for some concepts which were quite theoretical to me to be clarified and applied to real life situations.
The Company
The insight was very well planned, dense with talks, case studies and networking sessions.
Both GS and the other spring interns, while competitive, were extremely friendly and I believe I have made some very good friendships which will hopefully last.
Many panels with current analysts who have been in the same position as the spring interns were organised, which was very useful as we could ask all the questions we had and clarified our picture of what it would be like to have a full time role or a summer internship.
Everything Else
Employees were very open to being approached and many networking events were organised.
