    About You

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
  • To begin with, it was an overall amazing experience, as expected! The best Human Capital and throughout my 2 weeks here I was definitely able to identify hints of that. There was not a single individual that was not interesting to engage in a conversation with or had an amazing story and background!!

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your insight?

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • There was plenty of training and development to ensure an, as level as possible playing field. During the initial phases of the programme, we received intensive training on the basics necessary to complete and understand the programme, which was more than adequate in bringing everyone up to speed. Given that everyone was from completely different backgrounds, the pace of the classes varied substantially so everyone had a chance to ask questions, and clear any issues up.

  • 8. To what extent did the insight help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?
  • The insight was tremendously helpful in actually giving me an insight to the real job in the company. Through being to able to interact/network with people actually doing the real job I was definitely able to get a feel for the way the company and the job worked. Primarily however, I was able to understand the quality of the employees' characters and the fact that I would really like to work with and alongside them in the future.

  • 9. How much did the insight help you in understanding the company culture?
  • The experience was detrimental to helping me understand the company's culture. The culture and the overall way the company operates was the epicenter of every talk that was given to us by the firm's employees and more senior personnel. Given that such firms are primarily based on their "human workforce" and not on e.g. developing their already existing product such as a car, hence, ensuring that the firm's culture exists and is used to the firm's benefit, was the reason that I think they really stressed its importance and made sure that we ourselves implement it throughout our involvement with the firm.

  • 10. How valuable was the content in helping you to decide on your future career path?
  • I believe that was my favorite aspect of the programme. Referring to the focus that was placed on throwing as much real-world content (from the real job) as possible to us under pressure, so that we ourselves could decide whether the division and company in general was something we would like to be involved with for a long time. Throughout the training we had to deal with real-world problems (related to the division) closely resembling what the firm's actual employees would deal with, something that to me personally was extremely interesting.

    Everything Else

  • 11. Were you paid or reimbursed adequately for this experience?
  • I was paid and was offered to have any expenses reimbursed, however I did not have any given that I lived in a close proximity to the location where the insight was taking place! However, I am aware of the fact that everyone else was adequately reimbursed for any inconveniences they faced.

  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?
  • There were plenty of networking/social event opportunities scheduled throughout the duration of the programme! They varied from, meeting more senior individuals, to people that had joined the firm through the recruiting process right out of university and had a similar background to the one we had. The networking/opportunities were spaced out through the duration of the programme, so I believe everyone got the chance to meet and interact with the company's employees.

  • 13. How were the networking/ social event opportunities?
  • Every single individual that I was fortunate to meet was a special experience itself given that everyone had an extremely interesting story about their background as well as about their day-to-day work! We did have the opportunity through these events to ask numerous questions face-to-face and hence get extremely interesting answers that personally helped me get an insight into how working at the firm was like.

    5/5

  • 14. Did you find out about activities that employees can get involved in outside of work?
  • Even on the first day, but also throughout the programme, employees stressed the various extra-curricular activities they were involved in. The activities ranged from those that were organised by the employees on their own (in which the firm was later involved in) but primarily a focus was placed on the numerous activities organised by the firm itself, in which employees were encouraged to participate. The vast majority of the activities were revolved around charity-like activities about helping those that were "less fortunate than everyone working at the firm" a message that I found really empowering.

    5/5

  • 15. Would you recommend this insight to a friend?
  • Of course! that would definitely be the case. I would recommend it to anyone looking to pursue such a career, and is looking to get an extremely detailed insight into it at this stage. Given that this programme is the longest it is only natural that it gives one, the best possible insight into how a career in the division and the company is going to look like.
