About You
I really enjoyed the two-week internship at Goldman Sachs Securities Division. It was not an easy two week, as there are a lot of activities and sessions going on that we need to absorb information quickly. But that's what makes it an amazing experience! It not only helps me to understand the industry better, but also help with my personal development.
I felt very valued even though I was a spring intern that only got to spend two weeks at the firm; everyday Goldman Sachs would invite senior people in the division to come and talk to us, answering any questions we had. I feel like Goldman Sachs really wants to give us the best experience possible by organising socials, senior speaker series and other amazing activities.
I have received so much help from the Spring Internship at Goldman Sachs. From our GS buddies, mentors, HRs to the people we work-shadowed with, they were all so kind and enthusiastic to help out. I think for being a spring intern at Goldman Sachs, one amazing thing is that people always welcome us and are willing to assist in any ways they can.
My time management definitely has improved tremendously. Goldman Sachs really takes the spring internship seriously, as they had in place lots of amazing events and sessions to fill in our time there. We all felt that we wanted to do and achieve a lot of things, but then the time was always not enough. We really had to plan our days way ahead and try to make the most out of it. It was definitely a wonderful experience given the steep learning curve; I learnt so much about the industry, different asset classes and business areas during my two weeks there. As an Economics 西瓜视频, I feel that I can now process the current affairs and news in a more sophisticated way. The financial knowledge I have gained definitely helps me understand how different events and entities are connected much better.
The Company
The insight was very well-structured. The first few days have lots of introductory talks and spotlight sessions, so as to give us the basic knowledge about the industry and securities division in particular; those sessions were extremely useful in preparing me to get the most out of my rotations on the trading floor. After the first several days, we started to have more rotations and free time to schedule meetings to talk to as many people as we can, expanding our networks and horizons. I could definitely tell that the insight structure was carefully planned in a way that helps us to navigate and get the most out of our time here.
My spring class are all amazing people! We had loads of fun together and supporting each other. Also, the HRs and people at Goldman Sachs are extremely kind and eager to help. Definitely great atmosphere!
The company invested a lot in us. It is very obvious as they brought their best people and top senior staff to interact and talk to us.
Extremely helpful. The people I have met during the work-shadowing and meetings scheduled were really helpful that they helped me by all means to understand their job and what they do. That has helped me to see the differences for different desks, not only in terms of the product, but also the pace, style, hours and etc.
Everything Else
Definitely. There are lots of networks that we were invited to join, and some of them actually had socials and events in place during the spring for spring interns to attend.
Most of the people I work-shadowed with are active users of gym, and they al
Definitely! Goldman Sachs is the only investment banks that organise a 2-week spring internship. The amount of efforts and resources they put in to plan this are really generous and impressive.
