    About You

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
  • Most valuable experience I've had to date and definitely the most exciting two weeks of this year for me

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?
  • Incredibly! Everyone was willing to help me out and support me as if I was already a part of the firm

    5/5

  • 3. How much guidance/support did you receive during the insight?
  • Every step of the way. If I had a concern and I put my hand up, someone would be there guide me or at least point me in the right direction. I like that - being put on the path and for me to journey on the path on my own and discover things by myself.

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I received a basic crash course training on accounting and valuation which proves invaluable both in the tasks during the programme but also in the future. I don't get the opportunity to do this in my university course so I felt I really acquired new knowledge. I was also given the opportunity to do an Excel crash course which proves useful with my degree. Presentations also help to polish my public speaking skills and make me more natural at it.

    The Company

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?
  • On certain days, there was a logical flow throughout the day. On other days, it was a little erratic. Generally good but some days could have been better thought about.

    4/5

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your insight?
  • A mixture of professional but also collegiate. Constantly a collaborative environment which keeps me always engaged

    3/5

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • They provided sessions on interview skills and the activities aided soft skills such as networking and time management

    4/5

  • 8. To what extent did the insight help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?
  • We were not given access to the floor due to compliance reasons so I didn't really get a feel of the working environment. I better understood the sort of tasks that I involved from talking to current employees but didn't get the hands-on experience on my own.

    3/5

  • 9. How much did the insight help you in understanding the company culture?
  • I felt fully immersed in the company's culture. I was told about the culture by members of staff but really could feel the culture of the firm by going about the activities.

    5/5

  • 10. How valuable was the content in helping you to decide on your future career path?
  • I think it has shown me a wide range of available roles that I could have. Since there were so many options, I don't think it helped me decide on one particular area I would like to do but definitely helped narrow down the sub-division I wish to work in.

    3/5

    Everything Else

  • 11. Were you paid or reimbursed adequately for this experience?
  • The firm offered reimbursement for expenses but I didn't have any to claim.

  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?
  • There were set times to network but there was also free time during some of the days to organise my own meetings with people I already met and wished to follow-up with.

    5/5

  • 13. How were the networking/ social event opportunities?
  • The set sessions were not as useful as personal meets simply due to the sheer ratio of the interns to the employees so I couldn't get all my questions answered.

    3/5

  • 14. Did you find out about activities that employees can get involved in outside of work?
  • There are many networking groups that are similar to societies in university and on the very first day, I was introduced to them. It really showed me that the firm is keen on ensuring I have a social life in parallel to my professional one.

    4/5

  • 15. Would you recommend this insight to a friend?
  • 110%
