The Role
Really enjoyable, people were very welcoming and it was a great insight to working in oil and gas. The project was actually being used for further work which made me feel valued as an intern
Very much so, my work was important to them and they always asked questions about my project and work I had done
Managers and supervisors were great - got plenty of coaching and support was always there when I needed it. They could not have done a better job if they tried - well done!
Very well balanced - some days were slow towards the end with wrapping up but enough work was given and I worked on other non work projects too such as charity work
A lot - enough to dictate my own project and how I investigated the issue, also organised a charity sports day for disable people which was a lot of responsibility.
Learnt a lot of practical applications which will help me in University and in life in other oil companies
The Company
Very friendly, serious when needed to be
Some contact lacking about final decisions and processes
Lots of time and money- presentation skills training, personality testing and all coaching internal from other staff members who gave up a lot of time for me
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Company Parties/Events
Working from home
Very appealing, I am still waiting for a job offer but I really do hope that I get it
The Culture
Yes, organised events and nights out/dinners everyone was very friendly
On the more expensive side
Never dull
Yes plenty - charity work, running clubs
