The Role
I enjoyed my internship to the fullest extent possible given the highly interesting work and excellent members of the team.
I felt highly valued by my colleagues especially during the last few weeks of the internship when I was given tasks that were even more challenging and carried higher levels of responsibility with them.
The very flat team culture allowed me to reach out to everybody on the team to help me figure out questions when I was stuck. Furthermore, my personally assigned mentor did a great job helping me figure out the office dynamics and technical requirements.
Except for two weeks in the middle of the internship when most team members were on holiday, the work-load was intense but manageable, allowing for a steep learning-curve.
I felt that the degree of responsibility given to me grew on a weekly basis such that towards the end of the internship I was given tasks similar to those assigned to a full-time first year analyst.
The technical skills acquired will help me through the rest of my university life.
The Company
The atmosphere was friendly throughout but challenging towards everybody to get the work done in timely fashion.
The overall internship set-up was highly professional and well-organized throughout the whole 10-week program.
All interns received a week-long training to start the internship. In addition, team-members often took time to educate us on topics we were keen to learn more about
I received and accepted an offer to join the company full-time in summer 2017.
The Culture
I totally enjoyed working along with my co-interns.
London is expensive but the company supports interns coming from places other than London with a relocation bonus. Furthermore, HR organized several events to get to know other interns as well as full-timers working at the firm.
Very good yet very expensive.
Since weekends were off mostly, the opportunities to experience London were there and utilized to the fullest extend possible.
