The Role
It was a really good internship as all the people are really friendly, ready to help you when you need it and happy to have interns around them. I expected it to be scary and thought i would be alone, set some work and have to get on with it, however everyone was really helpful,. We went out a lot, went to lots of networking events, met many people at different positions within the firm and learnt more than i ever thought i could.
I felt valued as they always set up meetings with me and other employees in other countries to discuss my work and what i had done. I had a real project to work on which would be used in the future, therefore i felt valued as my work was going towards something. My colleagues always praised me for what i had done well as well as helped me when i was struggling.
I always had my buddy, my manager and other employees around me to help, and they were happy to help. I was always guided and felt like i could reach out to them easily. The environment here is really friendly and people support you as much as they can and praise if you can do the work alone too!
I was either very busy networking or doing my work. There were many training sessions at the beginning which helped me start off my work and be more confident knowing what the future holds! There were many networking networking sessions where we got to meet employees and other interns and workshops which kept us busy and interested.
I was given a lot of responsibility as i needed to modify an existing application. However, having this responsibility felt good as i wanted to produce an end product. My work was really interesting and i'd definitely do it again if i could! I was set different tasks in different programming languages, and although i am not confident coding, i was trusted to do it.
I gained many fundamental coding skills even though i come from a computer science background. I had lots of help and felt confident to try out new things people around me taught me. It will help me in my studies as i will go back into my third year of university, being more confident in coding and ready to start my dissertation!
The Company
Everyone is really social, communicates well and is happy to help you, so that made the atmosphere really friendly. When they were busy, it was a bit quiet but it still helped me to get on with my work. If i needed to talk i could talk to anyone around me. It was nice that i had other interns around me too.
It was really organised. They put many events in your calendar and you know exactly what you're doing every day. If youre not at a networking event, or workshop or meeting, you're doing your work! We were even provided breakfast and lunch in some of the events so everything was very well thought out. All of our events were interesting and very different to each other so i never lost interest.
They trained me and all the other interns at the beginning for around a week. We then continued to train ourselves in our free time if we needed to (i did). My manager always taught me new things happily, as well as the other employees. We had workshops and sessions to learn how to write good code. There was nothing more they could do within those 10 weeks!

I'd love to come back and work here. The environment is great, the people are friendly, the work is interesting and important! Everyone was really nice and welcoming.
The Culture
All the interns are really nice, ready to network and socialise. We had a lot of events, parties, networking events and went out after work a lot. We saw each other during lunches and always set up coffees to catch up. Everyone works hard, motivates you and wants the best for each other. We're all ready to learn and it creates a great atmosphere.
Some of the restaurants are expensive but everything is normally priced. Working in zone 1 is expensive for everyone but the food here is priced well, we have normal supermarkets as well as the canteen which has lots of food at great prices. I didn't live in accommodation so not sure about the price for that.
The nightlife is great. Its easy to find a nice place to either go to eat, to go clubbing or to socialise. Theres so many different types of places to go to!
Im sure theres a lot around however didnt have time to explore much!
