The Role
Extremely challenging and satisfying, and the team is very welcoming and accommodating. Guidance is always provided by every team member - all we need to do is ask. In addition, the human capital management division organizes very insightful speaker series for us to interact with senior management and get a glimpse of their daily responsibilities.
Each team member here are very busy but despite their cramped schedule they never fail to make time for a chat with the summer analysts when we reach out for a casual chat with them. They provide genuine and heartfelt advice on how to cope with the responsibilities, as most of them have been through the phase we are experiencing right now.
Support and guidance are always provided when we ask for them. Even though each team member here are very busy and have a cramped schedule they never fail to make time for a chat with the summer analysts when we reach out for a advice and guidance. This provided us with the confidence to tackle the various tasks thrown at us, and I appreciate the various guidance provided.
At any point in time, I am fully engaged as work here will never truly be done. We are the ones to decide at which point should we stop but still remain commercially effective and be able to deliver the highest level of insights demanded. The projects are also very stimulating so one would argue that we prefer being busy as not being engaged in the work will just make the day feel longer.
The amount of responsibilities that my company gives to to its class of summer analysts is largely similar to first year analysts - they want to assess how you would fare as a full time employee there based on your ten weeks attachment with the firm. Therefore, it is crucial to put your best foot forward at every point in time. The job is also very stimulating and challenging.
The work I do and the function that I am attached to here with the company is essentially where I would like to build a career. Therefore the various skills I have developed over the course of the ten week summer attachment will be fundamental and crucial from a career development perspective. Given my relevant coursework definitely the concepts imparted here are much more detailed and practical.
The Company
The office atmosphere here with the company I have spent the past ten weeks in is exceptionally collegial and supportive. The team members in the function I am attached to for this summer internship are incredibly helpful, sharp and intelligent. At the same time, they know how to balance their work life and life outside of that exceptionally well, and all of this contributes to a very nurturing environment.
This ten week summer attachment with the firm is very well planned and executed, On top of our daily desk duties with the team we are attached to, we are given support by the broader community of the company and assigned mentors to find out more about their time here with the firm. This lets us develop a good understanding of cross function responsibilities and allowed us to better appreciate how the firms runs as a whole.
The company I have worked in for the past ten weeks as part of a structured summer analyst programme spent an exceptional amount of time and energy in training the technical skills of its interns. External trainers for an array of hard and soft skills are hired and we are given intensive training session for topics that are relevant in the execution of our day to day duty here in the firm.

The company I have worked in for the past ten weeks as part of a structured summer analyst programme offers a very appealing employment prospect due to its sheer scale of operations and the exceptionally bright people it attracts. Being able to work with and under such individuals will certainly be a good opportunity for anyone to improve their fundamental skill sets and build a strong foundation
