The Role
I really liked my internship. I have learnt a lot and met a lot of very smart and inspiring people.
I was surrounded by a lot of brilliant people who taught me a lot but recognized my improvements and gave me a lot of their precious time
My HR and VP sponsors were very available and supportive whenever I needed them
It depends on the desks, projects. During the beginning we only had a training that starts around 8/9pm then we had to do rotations and take several projects for different teams so it was pretty busy but in the end I stayed on one desk so I had to work only for them and I stopped doing a lot of projects for different teams.
Not much. We are not allowed to trade nor talk to clients so we had to do presentations and prepare some emails which was stressful and demanding but didn't have that much responsibility.
I am doing a Msc in Finance next year at LSE so what I have learnt will be very useful for sure.
The Company
Very dynamic and intense. Not that much competition between interns, it was good!
The rotations were interesting, It's very interesting to have several rotations instead of only 2.
The personal training did not really focus on the areas that we asked but people were very involved and gave a lot of their time and energy to explain things to us and train us.
Very appealing. People are very interesting and nice, The gym and canteen are good as well and you get the opportunity to travel a lot to meet clients.
The Culture
Yes, the competition was not that important. Interns were helping each others and supporting each others when needed.
London is a very expensive city. Rent expenses were very high as well as cost of transports.
A bit quiet during the week-end but some nice pubs and restaurants around
