    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Very interesting internship with many opportunities to get to know different teams within the firm and to meet different people easily. Fantastic way to explore a job and to get to know a company well.

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • I felt in almost all the teams integrated from day one on. In some teams, it was even almost like a work family atmosphere - which is great given the short amount of time you stay in one team (approx. 4 weeks).

    4/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • Great support through multiple sources of guidance by more senior people. Buddies, mentors and many different senior people lined up to support you and give advice and were more than open to have a chat with you. Really great.

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Very busy - there were maybe 2-3 days where I was not all the time occupied. It was never boring!!!

    5/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • Dependent on the team. In some teams, I was given a lot of responsibility, in others less. However, it is very much dependent on the project. The teams where I was given less responsibilities, there was typically a higher involvement of more senior people which would do a lot of "ground" work themselves, so it is understandable that interns automatically get less responsibilities. However, on other teams I was even able to build a small valuation model on my own.

    4/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • The training was very useful to get quickly started on the job. Additional training was provided throughout the internship which was very cool. There was also product specific training given by analysts and associates which was very useful and interesting as it was super helpful for the daily work and understanding of the business.
