The Role
Met most of my personal expectations for the job.
Regular updates/feedbacks given to let you know if deliverables were good.
A lot of guidance where necessary - and level of support extend beyond to many different teams domiciled elsewhere.
Have clear lists of objectives to complete on a daily basis.
Has two key projects that I am working it - clearly saw how the projects tie in with team's objectives and future use.
A lot of data analysis and presentations - soft skills (planning, communication, teamwork) developed in the process of 2 projects and daily tasks.
The Company
Typical office atmosphere; there were some lively moments for special occasions.
There were arranged speaker series and breakfast sessions with senior management spread across the internship.
At the beginning of the internship, there was a training day set in place looking into Excel skills and general finance knowledge. Most of the personal development observed, personally, comes from the investment my team has made - scheduling teach in sessions, mock presentations, feedback sessions etc

The Culture
Team drinks on special occasions; a lot of casual gathering in place amongst Î÷¹ÏÊÓƵ interns in the same department.
London is a very expensive city.
There are several outlets that colleagues normally frequent; the availability of venues is apparent.
There were a mixed of volunteering or drinks events spread across the internship; but they are not frequent.
