The Role
I really enjoyed my internship, it was an overall good experience which has taught me how it is to work in a big company, responsibility and helped me improve my skills. It was a great networking opportunity, a great opportunity to make friends and learn more, develop myself. I enjoyed the time spent here.
I considered all my colleagues valued me and my work, helped me whenever I was in need and helped me improve. I enjoyed job shadowing my colleagues, both interns and seniors, as this was a great opportunity to see different fields. Participating in different projects also allowed me to get (a positive) feedback from the people I've worked with.
My colleagues, my manager / supervisor, everyone is willing to help and assisted me whenever I was in need. They provided valuable information and support and helped me get over any issues, with guidance, advices and even by participating with me in solving different issues. A nice experience overall, I enjoyed it.
There were days that were more busy than the others, and days that weren't. Overall, on a daily basis, the amount of work needed to be done varied, so I would say it was an equilibrium between these two. the amount of work never exceeded my working capabilities, I would actually have preferred to have more work to do in order to see more sides of the company.
I was given just enough responsibility to finish my tasks, which was a good thing in order for me not to make mistakes. The only issue was that I would've preferred to be given more access to see how the firm works and how I can be an active part in the developing of the company, or at least see more in depth of how it works
At the moment, my internship isn't over and I have not yet returned to studies, so this question can't be answered at the moment, but I strongly believe that the internship was a great opportunity for me to develop my skills and I firmly believe that all the knowledge I got by working here will help me furthermore.
The Company
The atmosphere was great, the people are all friendly, helpful and willing to help. The office is nice, a nice working experience overall. I can't think of anything more to add, because it was a pretty nice atmosphere, not noisy, not to quiet, you could go and ask anyone anything at any time, didn't really matter, because everyone would try to do their best and help you.
It was decent. There were issues with getting access for all the necessary tools and how fast that would happen, realizing you miss access from something would just add to the time until it was all set up. Anyhow, this is understandable, for security purposes, but it would've been better if all was set up before we came to the internship.
I think this is a really interesting question, because I think the company invested a lot in our training and not just mine. I had great opportunities to travel, to participate in events for training, networking and so on. Besides that, a lot of people invest time and energy in helping you develop, by simply answering questions and allowing you to job shadow them.
Flexi Time
Company Parties/Events
I would come back and work in the firm at any given opportunity, as the internship was a great experience for me and for many of my fellow interns. The project within the organization are different and numerous, so there would be no issue for me to find a place I would fit in nicely.
The Culture
I think there was a good social scene amongst fellow placements Î÷¹ÏÊÓƵ/colleagues, as I got the opportunity to make new friends and meet amazing people, learn from them, share ideas, have a broad view of how life and studies are in different locations across the globe. It was a really nice experience to meet your, interesting people and work with them, organizing ourselves.
Compared to where I come from, the cost of living and socializing in the area I worked in is pretty big, but it is proportional to the salary. I would've preferred to return home with more money, but I preferred investing in travelling and seeing places near the working city.
I am not really an out-going person, I am more into visiting, so I can only speak from the point of view of my colleagues, which considered it a nice experience. They would probably recommend it to others, but as I said, this is just from what I've heard from others
Yes, there were many such opportunities, within the firm and on your own. The city was amazing, the work experiences inside and outside of the working hours were amazing as well. I consider there were many great opportunities, depending on the domain in which you wanted to get involved into.
