    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I really enjoyed my 10 week internship, met some great people and felt valued in such a big organisation.

  • I felt like my level of responsibility dramaically increased throughout the course of the internship and I felt I was contributing and trusted by the team.

  • The associate on my team answered any questions I had.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Day to day varied. I was less busy at the beginning, however my work load gradually increased when I was trusted with more tasks. As well as helping with the day to day role I had to find time for my weekly projects.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • Not much at the beginning- project heavy, research for my own learning of the desk. About half way in I actually started doing work required for the desk.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I have definitely improved by organisation and prioritisation skills and managed to improve my Excel and general technical skills.

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Very friendly, I was surprised by how approachable everyone was. However everyone was very hard at work.

  • It was very well set up, we had regular intern events arranged.

  • We had a week training before we started at the office.

  • I hope that I have proved to my team that I could do a good job and bring value to the team.

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement Î÷¹ÏÊÓÆµs/colleagues?
  • Yes the interns all arranged to meet outside the office on a weekly basis.

  • Very expensive in London

  • Great, there's so much going on in London
