    About You

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
  • The insight program was generally good. People there were vey friendly and willing to help with any questions. And it was organized and with a good structure. But it could be better if it was a longer insight program so that we can have a chance to get insight the daily work. The half day insight in not enough to give us an idea about if trading is right for us. We just have a sense about the atmosphere in BP - flexible and casual.

The half day insight in not enough to give us an idea about if trading is right for us. We just have a sense about the atmosphere in BP - flexible and casual. I networked with the employees on graduate scheme which was quite helpful. i have learn more about the different opportunities for Î÷¹ÏÊÓƵs and the career development at BP. The company tour is just something not that necessary since i expect more about knowing how people work there like the daily job.

  • 3. How much guidance/support did you receive during the insight?
  • The skills I have leaned from interview skills session were basically similar as what l learned before but still worth being learned again. I hope there will be more tips about assessment centre. Few insight program provides help of that but it is actually crucial to our applications of summer internships.

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your insight?
  • The atmosphere was really good at BP. People there are very friendly and relaxed not arrogant at all. Everyone is willing to help and very patient. I didn't feel any pressure there who is really nice for a company in this industry. The atmosphere is about friendly, flexible, caring and casual. The program was too short so that we can't really understand more. And what we learned just came from what employees there said so it was sort of diploma. Don't really sure about what the level of pressure if we have full time role there.

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • Not too much. We just had a interview skills session. Not specifically training about working or further training. And the interview session was just talking something which we could find online. Hope it could have more personal development next time. Like Assessment centre skills, cv checking or more technique training.

  • 11. Were you paid or reimbursed adequately for this experience?
  • It was just a half-day insight so it fine without payment. And there is not necessary to carry on the accommodation. But we have to pay for the transport fare. Guessing this will lead to some Î÷¹ÏÊÓƵs outside of London not go to this program. For insight longer than one week, it should offer payment. For insight longer than one day, it should offer accommodation.

  • 14. Did you find out about activities that employees can get involved in outside of work?
  • There are some training course which employees there could register for free. The employees can also go to the gym nearby any tim during the work, as long as the work has been done. According to what the employees there said the working time is quit flexible. It is slightly heavy for tater but still nice compare to other companies.
