About You
The Discovery Day was very interesting and enjoyable
All the employees treated us very well. We were the protagonists of the day
I had the opportunity to talk and ask all sorts of questions to employees from different sectors of the company
The entire process of entering the graduate scheme was well explained and the interview practice that we had in the afternoon made things clear about what the company is looking for in us Î÷¹ÏÊÓƵs
The Company
It was generally well structured. The time was managed so that we would never be bored or tired
It was a lot of fun. Multiple occasion to socialise with the other Î÷¹ÏÊÓƵs and especially the energy game made the atmosphere very enjoyable. I am still in contact with a few of the Î÷¹ÏÊÓƵs I have met that day
For what concerns my personal development, the interview practice was the most important part. Perhaps one-to-one sessions would have been very useful
The main reason for me to apply for the Discovery Day was to learn more about working at the company and this was very well achieved. We talked to at least 15 different employees learning about offshore projects, and the different types of engineering and science involved
The five values of the company were clearly expressed by the employees during the day
It gave me the information that I needed about the oil and gas industry and I am now aware of what it takes both academically and not to be one of them
Everything Else
All my travel expenses were reimbursed without any problem
There were plenty of opportunities for networking throughout the day
They were extremely interesting and also fun
Not very much, actually.
Absolutely. The BP Discovery Day is a great experience for all science and engineering Î÷¹ÏÊÓƵs to learn about the company and the industry they work in
