Programme Overview:
PwC’s Deals Summer Internship offers an exciting opportunity to work within PwC’s Deals practice, focusing on mergers and acquisitions, business restructuring, and advising clients on transactions. This particular internship has a strong focus on Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) factors, where you will work on deals that align with sustainable business practices. You’ll gain hands-on experience working with clients across industries, helping them integrate ESG considerations into their business strategies and transactions.
Throughout the programme, you will collaborate with various teams, providing clients with strategic advice to navigate their deals and ensuring compliance with ESG frameworks. This internship is designed to help you develop your skills in financial management, business operations, and ESG, while giving you the opportunity to make a real impact on clients' sustainability goals.
Key Responsibilities:
As part of PwC’s Deals Summer Internship, you will:
- ESG Advisory: Help clients integrate ESG factors into their business transactions and long-term strategies, focusing on sustainable business practices and regulatory compliance.
- Financial Analysis: Support deal teams by conducting financial modelling and analysis to help clients make informed decisions on acquisitions, mergers, and other transactions.
- Due Diligence: Assist in the due diligence process, evaluating the financial, operational, and ESG aspects of deals to ensure clients are fully informed and able to manage risks.
- Project Management: Work with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless execution of deals, from the initial planning stages to post-deal integration.
Training and Development:
Throughout the Deals Summer Internship, PwC will offer:
- On-the-job training, focusing on ESG, financial management, and business operations.
- Access to PwC’s learning and development resources, including workshops on ESG frameworks, financial analysis, and project management.

Who We’re Looking For:
We are seeking motivated individuals who are passionate about ESG and its impact on business transactions. To succeed in the Deals Summer Internship, you should have:
- A strong academic background, working towards a 2:1 degree (or equivalent) in business, economics, finance, environmental science, or a related discipline.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess financial and ESG risks.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in teams.
- A proactive and enthusiastic approach to learning and professional development.
- An interest in understanding the role of ESG in corporate transactions and how sustainable practices can drive business success.
