Register Your Interest - Sales Strategy & Development Placement
To join one of our 12-month placements you must meet one of the following criteria:
- Currently be an undergraduate studying at University and applying for a Placement year in your 2nd or final yearÌýÌý
- Graduating from your undergraduate degree in Summer 2026
- Looking for employment after completing A-Levels or equivalent course or an ApprenticeshipÌý
In addition, you must be eligible to work in the UK without restriction for the duration of the internship from Monday 29th June 2026 - Friday 16th July 2027.

What will I be doing?ÌýÌý
NBCUniversal is a leader in delivering entertainment programming to the US & international marketplaces.ÌýThe Global TV Distribution division is responsible for the licensing of NBCUniversal and Sky content to all forms of television and streaming services.ÌýThis includes distribution of new and library films & TV series.ÌýÌýÌý
The Sales Strategy & Development team supports the business, especially Sales, with planning, negotiating and structuring complex licensing deals worth several $100 million per year in the EMEA region.ÌýÌýThe intern will join this Strategy team assisting with the following work:Ìý
- Modelling deal financials and negotiation progress, including collecting data from internal systems and using these in modelsÌý
- Collating and analysing client, technology and content market data in order to understand content licensing trends and marketsÌý
- Preparing presentation reports for deal and market analysis projectsÌý
What will I learn from this opportunity?ÌýÌý
A hands-on understanding of the Media industry, including an understanding of different broadcaster or streamings modelsÌý
- A good understanding of how the content licensing markets work, the key trends and commercial activities undertaken by Distribution companies and clients which are major global businesses and household namesÌý
- Detailed financial modelling and data analysis skills required to support commercial negotiations, which can be applied to all businesses not just the media industryÌý

What do I need to bring to the role?ÌýÌý
- A passion to learn about the media industry and its commercial activitiesÌý
- Skills and analysis required to support negotiations for multi-million dollar dealsÌý
- Excellent Excel skills in particular for financial modellingÌý
- PowerPoint skills, especially for reporting and summarizing complex information and financialsÌý
- Attention to detail
