Graduate Dentist
As a qualified Dentist, you have the skills, training and knowledge needed take care of our troops鈥� dental health. No two days look the same here and no two practices do either. With the chance to travel the globe, you could be working on huge Army bases or smaller mobile surgeries on operations. You鈥檒l have the freedom to choose the best, high-quality treatment for your patients, every time. And, with military and professional training, as well as the chance to get involved in sports and adventure activities 鈥� you鈥檒l be able to take your skills further and become an expert in your role.
Become the best in your profession.
During your training at Sandhurst, you鈥檒l be an Officer Cadet, earning 拢33,183 a year. As you progress through our ranks, this will rise to 拢50,540 for a Captain, and 拢62,387 when you become a Major.
You鈥檒l also receive 30 days鈥� annual leave every year (plus bank holidays and extra leave after operations), free medical and dental care, cheaper living costs, and free gym and sports facilities. And unless you're away on operations or training exercises, you'll normally work 8.30am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.
As an entry-level Officer, you鈥檒l start your career in a position of management, commanding responsibility for your team of soldiers. You don鈥檛 need any experience to apply 鈥� through world-class training at the Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst, you鈥檒l develop the transferrable leadership skills and qualifications you need to motivate and support your team.
Outside the Royal Military Academy, you鈥檒l continue to learn and grow through Adventurous Training and international travel. Being an Officer is a global adventure, whether you鈥檙e leading expeditions, running operations abroad, or delivering humanitarian aid to communities in need.
What we are looking for
To qualify, you must be between 17 years 9 months and 36 years and 11 months. You鈥檒l need to be a qualified dentist with active registration with the General Dental Council (GDC) or at the point of completing your dentist training. You鈥檒l also need to pass a basic fitness test.
